Important International Boundary Lines

Although there is so many international boundary lines exists, but some important of them (According to exam's View) i am sharing with you.


Make Geography easy with the help of Globe

  • Durand Line (Drawn in 1896) ➽ Pakistan & Afghanistan
  • Red Cliff Line (in 1947) ➽ India & Pakistan ➽ Disputed Area : Sircreeck(रन ऑफ़ कच्छ )
  • Mc.Mohan Line (in 1914) ➽ India & China ➽ Disputed Area : तवांग जिला (of Arunachal Pradesh)
  • 24th Parallel Line ➽ Pakistan claims that it is boundary b/w India & Pakistan in रन ऑफ़ कच्छ 
  • 17th Parallel ➽ North Vietnam & South Vietnam
  • 38th Parallel ➽ North Korea & South Korea
  • 49th Parallel ➽ Canada & U.S.A.
  • Hiddenberg Line ➽ Germany & Poland
  • Maginot Line ➽ Germany 7 France
  • Seigfried Line ➽ Fortification(किलाबंदी ) b/w Germany & France

नोट:- [A] 

  1. Southern Hemisphere is warmer than Northern Hemisphere whereas South Pole is cooler than North Pole.
  2. The coldest Place of World is Vostak station in Antarctica.
  3. "Maitri & Dakshin Gangotri" are Research Stations of India at Antarctica.
  4. "हिमाद्री " is the newly established Research station of India on the North Pole.
  5. China shares its boundary with maximum no. of Nations (13) in the World.

Pondicherry

  • Pondicherry was a French Colony, before included in India.
  • Union Territory of Pondicherry consists of 4 Districts:-
(1) Pondicherry ➨ Surrounded by Tamil Nadu.
(2) Karaikal ➨ Surrounded by Tamil Nadu.
(3) Mahe ➨ Surrounded by Kerala.
(4) Yanam ➡ Surrounded by Andhra Pradesh.

  • UP. touches (maximum) 8 States viz. (1) उत्तराखण्ड (2) राजस्थान (3) हरियाणा (4) हिमाचल प्रदेश (5) मध्य प्रदेश (6) छत्तीसगढ़ (7) झारखण्ड (8) बिहार 
  • Assam touches 7 states
  • Maharashtra & Chhattisgarh share boundary with 6 states.

  • Tropic of Cancer passes through 8 states : (1) Gujarat (2) Rajasthan (3) M.P. (4) Chhattisgarh (5) Jharkhand (6) W.B. (7) Tripura (8) Mizoram.

  • Indian Standard Meridian passes through 5 States : (1) U.P. (2) M.P. (3)Chhattisgarh (4) Orissa (5) A.P.(Andhra Pradesh) 

  • 9 States touches the Coast of India : (1) Gujarat (2) Maharashtra (3) Goa (4) Karnataka (5) Kerala (6) Tamil Nadu (7) Andhra Pradesh (8) Orissa (9) W.B.

  • 2 Union Territories (1) Daman & Diu (2) Pondicherry are also on the coast.

  • Main Coast Line = 6100 km

  • Palk Strait ➽ It creates border b/w 'India' & 'Srilanka' and joins 'Bay of Benagl' to 'Gulf of Mannar
